Carly Hubers

Director of Youth Ministry

Carly Hubers grew up in Erie, MI and attended Hope College in Holland, MI where she majored in Psychology and minored in Youth Ministry. She went on to attend Western Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Arts with an emphasis in youth ministry and student development. Carly worked in youth and campus ministry for several years, but after she and her husband, Jeffrey, graduated from WTS, they moved to South Dakota where she worked for the McGovern Center at Dakota Wesleyan University. While at DWU, Carly was responsible for campus programming around service, social justice, and community engagement. She has also served as an instructor for courses around social justice and intercultural business communication. Carly worked upon returning to Michigan for the University of Notre Dame as the Program Coordinator for the Minor in Sustainability, and now works part-time for St. Joe Today.

Carly is passionate about working with students of all ages, encouraging their individual and communal lives of faith. She believes it’s important that young people are seen as not only the “future” of the Church, but are presently engaged, called, and valued members of a community of faith. Both she and Jeffrey love serving in ministry together and are thrilled to be part of the FCC family!

Carly has served as Director of Youth Ministry since 2019.
