Paul Flyger is our wonderfully gifted Organist who serves equally well as Pianist. His professionalism and passion are evident in his playing of each key and pedal.  Leading us instrumentally since 1993, Paul’s primary role is to enrich worship with Prelude, Offertory, and Postlude music, as well as to strengthen and support the Chancel Choir, Children’s Choirs, and Hand Bell Choirs. Paul is often featured in Sunday afternoon concerts at our church, sometimes in conjunction with other local organizations.

Paul’s education includes B.Mus. and M.Mus. degrees in Organ Performance from Andrews University in Berrien Springs. As an undergraduate student he studied with Dr. C. Warren Becker, and as a graduate student his music mentor was both Dr. C. Warren Becker and Dr. Kenneth Logan.  He received prestigious academic music awards during his studies.  A partial list of his professional experience includes these facts:  Paul is known as the Principal Keyboardist for the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, for his performances with the Twin Cities Organ Concert Series, and for his work with the Monday Musical Club.  He teaches Piano Lessons, Piano Classes, and Music Appreciation at Lake Michigan College and maintains the Flyger Piano Studio of 30 piano students of all ages.

Now at home in Benton Harbor, Paul was born and raised in South Dakota and has spent much time in Arizona, Utah, and northern California.

Paul has been FCC's Organist since 1993.
